- What inspired you to work in the PCB/electronics industry (or – how did you end up working here?!)?
After leaving university, had a temporary job at Celestica fault finding Camelot PCBA’s (National Lottery machines) and 30 years later still in Contract manufacturing. I’ve been very lucky with my career choice and it’s given me the opportunity to work in different countries around the world and seeing how the Electronics Manufacturing Industry has changed over the years. - In fewer than 100 words, what does a typical workday at Active-PCB Solutions look like for you?
No two days are the same, which makes for very interesting work. Here to support the various teams to ensure we meet and exceed our customers expectations and help grow the company. Looking for solutions to problems and improvements. - What do you enjoy most about working with the team at Active-PCB Solutions?
Only been here for a few months, but everyone made me feel welcome and great bunch of people. - Imagine it’s the end of a Friday workday – what does your ideal evening look like?
Takeaway, Glass (or 2) of Red Wine and relax in front of the TV. - What’s a hobby or activity you’ve recently gotten into, or one which you would love to try?
Gardening and slightly obsessed with getting the perfect lawn. The UK weather makes it challenging though. - If you could wake up tomorrow being an expert at something or having a brand new skill, what would it be and why?
Be able to play golf. Phil Mansell has been trying for a while to get me to play and if I woke up an expert be great to beat him! - What is the last series you binged on Netflix/Prime/etc (and would you recommend it?)
Black Doves. Easy watching and worth watching. Looking forward to the new series of White Lotus next later in February. - You have two weeks off and an unlimited budget; where would you visit?
Space. Would love to see the world from a different perspective and orbit the earth and be mesmerized by the planet. - What’s your go-to comfort food?
Cottage pie covered in thick gravy. - According to an advert I saw on LinkedIn, animals are excellent for engagement, so please show off your pet (if you have one)!
I don’t own a pet unless you can count the squirrel that roams around the garden stealing from the veg patch! - The same advert told me that humour was also good for engagement. Can you tell us a joke?
If anyone gets a DM from me about canned meat, don’t open it! It’s SPAM! - Phil set the following question for you: If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, who would it be and why?
Meatloaf. Great singer and was hilarious when alive. Imagine he has some great stories. - And finally! Can you think of a question to ask the next person on ‘Meet The Team’?
Who is your biggest inspiration?
