We are exceptionally proud of our internal Training Academy, which means that we can always be confident that our staff are knowledgeable experts at the forefront of our industry.

That’s why we’ve established our Training Academy; a well equipped, in-house facility, where we invest in the continuous growth and development of our team. By keeping our staff up to date on the latest advancements in technology and manufacturing techniques, we can be sure that we deliver exceptional quality to our customers.

What does the Active-PCB Training Academy offer?

We offer an onboarding programme for all new starters who will be working on our shop floor. This training is delivered by our IPC-accredited in-house experts.

• Safety for Electronics Manufacturing (this has superseded the previous IPC-DVD-11C General Safety for Electronics Assembly with Training Certification)
• ESD Control for Electronics Manufacturing (this has superseded the previous IPC-DVD-74C ESD Control for Electronics Assembly with Training Certification)
• IPC-DVD-24C Handling in Electronics Assembly with Training Certification
• IPC-DVD-64C v.2 Component Identification with Training Certification

Our IPC-accredited trainers are also qualified to deliver the following training to Active-PCB’s internal staff as required:

• IPC-A-610J Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (up to 3 days, theory only)
• IPC-WHMA-A-620E Acceptability of Electronic Wire Harnesses and Cables (up to 5 days, theory and practical)
• IPC-J-STD-001J Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies (up to 5 days, theory and practical)
• IPC-7711-21D Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies (up to 5 days, theory and practical)

We are also able to offer these training courses externally

Our IPC-Certified trainers are qualified to deliver training to both internal staff and to external partners at our facility in Reading, Berkshire – just off the M4 motorway.
