- What inspired you to work in the PCB/electronics industry (or – how did you end up working here?!)?
I started out over 27 years ago, starting as an Operator on the manufacturing process. I thoroughly enjoyed learning, developing myself, watching and helping the team develop, hitting the targets set, whilst suggesting ideas for improvements. Naturally I moved on to become Assistant Team Leader, Team Leader, Production Manager and now I’m Head Of Operations here at Active. I have been here now for over 2 years. Wow, that time has flown… - In fewer than 100 words, what does a typical workday at Active-PCB Solutions look like for you?
I always make sure I go round all the team and say good morning, every day, then it’s all about continuous improvement activities, that could be through quality improvements, team development or efficiency improvements helping us towards operational excellence. - What do you enjoy most about working with the team at Active-PCB Solutions?
We work hard, but we will have fun and enjoy ourselves along the way… - Imagine it’s the end of a Friday workday – what does your ideal evening look like?
Paying a visit to my favourite Indian restaurant with loved ones. - What’s a hobby or activity you’ve recently gotten into, or one which you would love to try?
I really enjoy golf, I would love to make more time to play. I also enjoy doing an escape room too, although the people I go with tend to be a lot better at escaping than me… - If you could wake up tomorrow being an expert at something or having a brand new skill, what would it be and why?
If I could have a brand new skill, it would be to play the piano. I just find it really interesting and the music I find so relaxing. - What is the last series you binged on Netflix/Prime/etc (and would you recommend it?)
Inbetweeners; it never gets old and is guaranteed to make me laugh, help me unwind from a busy day. The Day of the Jackal has been recommended to me, so that’s next on my watch list. - You have two weeks off and an unlimited budget; where would you visit?
I would probably stay in the UK, I would visit Blackpool, Stoke-On-Trent and the Isle of Wight. - What’s your go-to comfort food?
A good packet of crisps; Spring Onion, Golden Wonder being a firm favourite. - Can you tell us a joke?
What do you call a guy who’s really Loud?…. Mike - Can you think of a question to ask the next person on ‘Meet The Team’?
If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, who would it be and why?
